Hanging out in the storage unit today. Realized how stupid packers are, they put pool ques in with my dad's expensive 4-string kite. His violin is who knows where, and Mom's antiques with tools and a gas can! What crazy morons that packed our house!
Besides sitting in the storage unit we looked at two houses today, one with an acre and needs some work to make it livable. And the other a nice 3bedroom home with a beautiful lay out, and nice garage, but no yard, just a HUGE slab of concrete and driveway.
But now i'm in a hallway of the indoor storage unit with stuff piled around me. How fun does it get?

Day 5
We're driving, driving, driving down the road. Sore butts and backs. After 15 hours of driving across the ever so flat and not so amusing state of Texas (and the rest of New Mexico) we made it to Corpus Christi at the ever so convenient time of 12:50AM.
We didn't stop for dinner so we went to Denny's... or should I say ended up at Denny's. While there my dad saw some border patrol guys having after muster muster so he went over and made some new friends. >< So cute.
After our super late dinner we landed our selves a hotel room. The Guy at the front desk had a WWJBD bracelet :) What would Justin Beiber do? So silly. Time to find a house to make a home.

Day 4
Woo Hoo- Albuquerque! Not really. Still in the Holiday Inn still suffering with the noise of Albuquerque. Tonight church and dinner with my old friend LeaAnne can hardly wait.
Tomorrow morning we leave here and hit the road. We're supposed to be in corpus tomorrow evening. Welcome home?

Day 3
Drove through Utah and Colorado. So pretty, so much scenery and such a beautiful blue sky contrasting on the red rocks. Got Into New Mexico, stopped at Sonic and got pan handled. So many drunks on the Res. Drove for a bit further and surprise surprise CONSTRUCTION WORK dead stop traffic again but this time in the ever so nasty albuquereque.

Day 2
Drove through Idaho, Montana, and started through Utah.
Montana and Idaho we were racing a storm front. Snow and cold weather was right behind us the whole way. To pass the time I've done lots of crocheting with no final products... that's what I do.
We get into Utah and then 2 hours of horrible traffic awaited us. The whole freeway from Salt Lake City till past Provo. over 40 miles of 2 lane free way with stop and go traffic. It was NOT fun. Now we're in a small hotel with the ugliest comforter. But oh well a place to sleep is a place to sleep. Tomorrow we plan to be in Albuquerque NM by 7pm then we're taking some time off of the road, in my least favorite city. Then we plan to be in Corpus Christi by Monday. What a trip!
Keep us in your prayers.

Day 1
This morning we woke up from our empty house at 8am, ate breakfast at the neighbors house. Such a blessing. And then left before 9. Crazy stuff, it felt like leaving a hotel, not leaving our house of 8 years.
Like usual I get in a car for more than 30 minutes in the morning and I am out cold. So really from the time we got to Mt Vernon till we were 45 min to Ellensburg I was asleep. The drive was nice, roads were kinda crappy in places and the car alarm on the car we're toeing went off while on the road so that was funny and rather inconvenient. We got into Airway Heights at about 5:15pm and had the most awkward dinner with my kinda sorta boyfriend and his family. It was really nice to see him though.
Now, we're in BestWestern on the 4th floor in a very nice room while my dad snores the night away. We leave at 7 in the morning and hope to stop in Wyoming tomorrow night.
Keep us in your prayers as we make this journey.

Packers, Truckers and Dear Friends
Tuesday, the moving company came. Loaded all our stuff... well, just about all of it into boxes. It really hit home we were moving. I went to dinner and hung out with my best friend Vince and cried the whole way back home.
Wednesday, the moving truck came at 9:30. The movers saw it wasn't all packed so they had a late start and had to pack stuff too! at 11 the truck came and nothing was being loaded up. We had issues with moving the pool table and they under estimated our house and wanted to charge us more! Luckily we didnt have to. Finally at 9:15pm they left.
I spend my afternoon at LHS swim practice. I miss those girls SOO MUCH! After practice I went to one of my best friends houses and had a lovely dinner with her family. Courtney, is such a blessing from God. We are the only people that understand eachother's realities and why we do what we do. I will miss her so much.
Well, back to the truck. It left the house and too late to head out so we camped out in our house, sleeping bags and luggage. Made it feel like we were leaving a crappy hotel in the morning.

House Hunting Trip
We went to Texas the week of the 17th-24th of September. It was pretty nice. The weather was perfect, some rain the first day, beautiful southern lightning storm and the smell of rain. The rest of the week was warm and sunny. The beach on S. Padre Island was beautiful, sand with warm water. First time in a LONG time I've walked on a sandy beach. Visited some churches, they were 'kay. There were so many big community churches down there too, so I'm excited to be able to get involved.
Well on to the houses. We looked at some really nice ones and some not so nice houses. One house smelled like cat pee and had sooo many bugs. >.< We found one house, 2/3 acre lot and a beautiful pool and a really pretty house in general. We placed an offer on it and with in a week the contract fell through because the owners of it weren't willing to fix some MAJOR damage. So we're on the look out again. Still so many houses to choose from. I hope we get one with a good size room for The Victoria.
We move in 6 days from today. So that's kind of exciting. Only weird thing is none of the stuff in the house is really packed up so it hasn't really set in yet.
Looking forward to seeing my cousin Nicole and chillin' on the beach off season because no matter what the temperature is down there, it's going to feel like a summer day to me. Thanks Washington for being so cold.

Poor Guy
Well this weekend James gets Da Boot. Poor guy. We bring a lot of his junk down to Oregon for him to figure out what to do with. Although lucky for Jamesy Boy we're looking for a house with at least 3 bed rooms so he can still have a place kinda sorta.

We're Officially Moving
After years of wanting to go back to Texas the time is finally here. Dad got official word for transfer to Kingsville Texas about a month ago. Who would have thought there'd be so much emotion involved in moving. We had a really successful garage sale on the 23rd of last month and I never thought a house could look so clean.
If you were wondering. The official report to work day is October 23rd. So we're probably leaving on the 12th or 14th of October.
It's crazy to think that I'm leaving my buddies of 8 years and moving 2,600 miles away, but I'll come and see ya'll. I'll make new friends and make my old ones come down and play on the SANDY beach with me.
